Laura G., Superstar, Colourized Version

Posted by
Phil Morris (Saskatoon, Toronto, NYC, Canada) on 14 March 2017 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

As from yesterday, this is the colourized version. When I first photographed Laura, she
wanted a large 20X24 inch color photo so I painted using Dr. Martin's Chromographic
Watercolors. It turned out her uncles and relatives wanted the same so I got a lot of
commissions to do many more of this picture, making it the most lucrative sitting ever
for me !!

Also this is stunning portrait.

Easy to see why everyone wanted a 'copy' of this beautiful image. You did a superb job colouring the photo, but my personal preference is B&W as it's more dramatic and very unique.

Both versions are ultra dramatic and memorable. Here, I love the vivid eye tone and how it pops against the overall mood and the more muted fingernails. Superb work to behold!

I can see why it was one of your best sellers. The golden tones are so glamourous. Her expression is serene and thoughtful. Again, you capture the essence of the person in your amazing portraits. Lots of love!

The color version is wonderful, too. However, it's hard to beat the radiant and elegant B&W version.
